Started in 2015 in Bozeman, Montana by brothers and Wyoming natives Troy and Joe Moore, White Dog Brewing came about by a fortuitous construction job, almost a decade of home brewing on a commercial pilot system, and a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship. Named after Joe & Jaci’s White Lab Cami, White Dog Brewing Co. embodies the “Fetch the Good Life” motto and strives to provide a beer and customer experience so each and every customer can also “Fetch the Good Life”. Sadly, in early 2021, we had to say goodbye to our namesake Cami – RIP Cami the “White Dog”

As the first craft brewery in downtown Bozeman, the original location was on Main Street. It was comprised of a 1,200 sq ft taproom, a 1,200 sq ft brewing area, and a 7-barrel Premier Stainless brewing system with 6 fermenters and 6 brite tanks. On this setup we were able to produce roughly 1,000 barrels of beer annually. Popularity for our beer grew rapidly and we were soon sending out draft and canned product throughout the state of Montana.

In 2016, while visiting Joe’s in-laws in the Boise area, Troy stumbled across our Idaho location (literally, he stumbled across it… they were downtown drinking and the designated driver parked in the parking lot). The building was recently vacated by the former tenant and had a rich brewing history within the Boise area. The former home of TableRock Brewpub and Grill (1991-2014), the original microbrewery in Boise. TableRock’s original brewing equipment was still in place and is still used by us to this day!

Troy soon called his college roommate and hunting buddy, a quick visit to Boise was made, and soon after Dan and Amber Jordan moved from Fairbanks, Alaska to join the White Dog family. After an 11 month build-out, on September 1, 2017 our Boise location was officially opened. At triple the square footage and brewing capacity, Boise soon became White Dog Brewing Company Headquarters, with Dan managing the front-end and operations of the Boise location. In early 2020, we sold our Bozeman, MT location which has enabled us to put all our time, recipe development and energy into our Boise location.

Needing some stability in the brewing operations, Troy reached out to a former co-worker and friend to see if he would like to take his love of beer to a new level. Matt Harris, also a native of Wyoming jumped at the opportunity and joined the White Dog family in early 2019 moving up from Colorado. Matt loves brewing great tasting, diverse beer selections for our taproom and canned products. His attention to detail is what has helped differentiate us from other breweries.

In 2020, Mike Corkish, whose wife Jamie was coached at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks by Dan joined the White Dog Family. Mike, a native Montanan spent a 17-year sales and marketing career in the outdoor industry, which brought him and Jamie to the Boise area in 2018. Looking for a change and seeing the opportunity to work with an amazing team, Mike decided to join us and help manage the taproom and sales and marketing to enable us to grow and expand our brand.

We seek to deliver an ever-dependable variety of beer with an unparalleled taste. Our aim is to craft beer suitable for all palates, but we won’t bend to passing fads.
